The Edexcel International A-Level in Geography contains interesting and engaging contemporary geographical content that allows students the flexibility to design programmes to suit their interests and needs, using a range of approaches. The specification also allows for a balance between students’ own particular physical, human and/or environmental global interests relevant to their lives and provides the knowledge, understanding and skills for further study at higher education or for employment.
You’ll study the following Unit topics: Global Challenges, Geographical Investigations, Contested Planet and Researching Geography. It will enable you to study your own particular physical, human and/or environmental global interests relevant to your life.
What I should consider before enrolling
A level Geography builds directly on the subject knowledge studied at IGCSE/GCSE (or equivalent). We recommend our students have a grade B or 6 at IGCSE/GCSE to cope with the subject content. All students undertaking A levels must also have IGCSE in English Language at Grade C or 4 (or equivalent qualification).
